Weekend Must Reads

Happy Saturday, Friends!

Weekends are for sleeping in, resting, relaxing, and lazing around, right?

HA! I know, I know…some of you may be rolling your eyes over that as you wade through baseball, softball, swimming, and any other youth sport schedule your summers are filled with.

For most of us now, gone are the days when the laziness of Saturday and Sunday just rolled slowly into Monday. Now it’s wake up, rise and shine, and go, go, go!

Unless…drumroll please…

You and I choose to dig in our proverbial heels, shake our heads, and just say “NO” from time to time.

That’s right.

Every once in a while, it’s important for us to hit the refresh button and just say NO to things. Are you willing to take relaxation seriously? How important is stress-free living to you? Are you open to taking your “quiet time” from the back burner and putting in on the front burner – where it belongs – every now and then?

This week, I’ve enjoyed reading some things that have reminded me of the necessity of doing just that.

Wherever you are today and whatever you find yourself doing, make it a point to stop and catch your breath. Be intentional about slowing down and sensing the beautiful gifts around you.

Without further ado, here are a few blogs that I want to share with you…
I hope you enjoy reading them as much as I did.
